What neuropathy care looks like here
Neuropathy is nerve damage. It shows up as burning, numbness, tingling, stabbing pain, or the strange sensation that your socks are bunched when they are not. It is most often driven by diabetes, chemotherapy, a spinal problem, a circulation problem, or a cause that never gets identified at all.
Most patients arrive having been told two things. That it is permanent, and that medication is the only option. Dr. Martin starts somewhere else. The first visit is an examination to work out which nerves are affected, how far it has progressed, and whether this is a case that responds to conservative care. Some are. Some are not, and you will be told plainly which one yours looks like.
